A day after the city's law director abruptly resigned, they've selected a new one.

According to Mayor Tito Brown, retired Judge Lou D'Apolito has been appointed as the city's interim law director.

Brown appointed him the interim director earlier today.

This follows former Law Director Jeff Limbian's resignation yesterday. In a letter was sent out to city officials Tuesday that requested all legal matters be forwarded to D'Apolito.

In a comment to 21 News, Limbian said after 6 years as law director it is time for him to move on.
