Since 2011 the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation (YAJF) has collected over 20,000 pounds of food for various agencies. One of them being Second Harvest food bank.

This is 21 News' 17th annual Feed Our Valley campaign supporting the food bank.

This year YAJF donated over $1,000 and 600 pounds of food during their High Holiday food drive.

As 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 5 children are at risk of hunger in the Valley, the organization makes sure the needs are met for vulnerable groups of people.

YAJF partners with local grocery stores like Save-A-Lot and Dollar general to provide those in need with $50 food vouchers.

Their mobile meal program continues to serve many people, delivering between 350 to 1,000 meals per month.
