'Angels among us': Mahoning County Dog Warden receives donation to cover surgery for three dogs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Dog Warden has announced that it has received a donation to pay for eye surgery for three different dogs.
According to a Facebook post from the Dog Warden, after posting pictures of three dogs who all needed surgeries for "cherry eye," an anonymous donor reached out offering to cover the cost of all three dogs' surgeries.
The surgeries for Rain, (pictured above center) who has double cherry eye would have cost around $1,300 and the surgeries for Riley and Angelica (pictured left and right respectively) would have cost around $900 each.
According to the post, because the dogs are older now, there is only a 50% chance the surgery will be successful, but the donor said they would still like to try so the dogs can find a forever home.
The Dog Warden has described this donation as a "godsend" and expressed their gratitude to the donor.
"There are angels among us. Thank you so much," the post reads.
