Plea deal offered for Canfield man accused of raping two women in Kent

A plea deal has been offered for a Canfield man accused of raping two women in Kent back in November of 2022.

According to court employees, 22-year-old Mccoy Watkins has until a pretrial hearing on January 26 to accept this plea deal. If he does not, a date will be set for a jury trial.

Watkins is charged with two counts of rape and one count of burglary, stemming from an incident from November of 2022 when he allegedly raped two women aged 18 and 19 years old respectively.

Additionally, Watkins is accused of trespassing on a property on North Lincoln Street in Kent on the same day as the alleged rape incidents.
