The Rodney White Olympic Park will be getting some new life injected with a recent financial boost from the state.

According to Rep. Parke Wentling, the park is set to receive $177,327 to improve its accessible playground.

The money will go toward paying for improvements to the park, including resurfacing and replacing benches and playground equipment.

"Rodney White Olympic Park has been a popular place with Mercer County's kids for a quarter of a century," Wentling said. "This park is named after Hermitage's own Olympic gold medalist. These improvements will help the playground continue to live up to his name."
