The ongoing contract dispute between Youngstown and the firefighter's union continues.

Recently, the union rejected a fact-finder's report that would have increased pay for members but would have made it more difficult to obtain over time.

The union reject the report 85-4, according to Union President Jon Racco.

"There were many issues that the members of the union still feel need to be resolved," Racco tells 21 News.

While Racco declined to discuss specifics about the report and the negotiations he did say the union is willing to come back to the bargaining table.

However, the union is preparing for the possibility of arbitration.

Racco says the union has been without a contract since May 31 of last year.

21 News has reached out to  Bart Bixenstine, the mediator for the negotiations for further comment.
