The fate of a Warren man found guilty for a shooting at his apartment on Berkshire Drive SE has been decided.

According to the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, John Daniel Jr., 52, was given an indefinite prison sentence of 117 months to 153 months after bein found guilty for a second-degree felonious assault felony with a firearm specification and a third-degree domestic violence charge.

The sentence also included a mandatory three-year term because a gun was used in the commission of the crime.

Common Pleas Judge Ronald J. Rice said the seriousness of the offenses and the violent criminal history of the defendant required the need for consecutive sentences.

Daniel was charged in relation to a shooting that happened last year where he shot a 40-year-old Youngstown man five times both in the side and their leg.

Daniel was found guilty last week for the shooting.
