After a devastating fire destroyed the Veterans of Foreign Wars building in Pymatuning Township, the community has come together to help renovate the VFW's pavilion before a planned concert Saturday.

VFW Commander John Whitman told 21 News that renovations on the pavilion were finished late Friday night.

Whitman says they're prepared to open the new "Mickey McKnight Cantina" Saturday at 4 p.m.

Local band Government Cheese will begin their set at 8 p.m.

The fire that destroyed the organization's main building happened around 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

Several Mercer County fire departments had to be called in for aid. No one was injured in the fire but the building was deemed a total loss.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the VFW.
