YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - On the evening of March 8, the bridge on Market Street in Youngstown will be lit up purple in honor of International Women's Day.

According to International Women's Day's website, the holiday was first celebrated in the United States in 1909 and has been sponsored by the United Nations since 1975.

The theme for 2024 is Inspire Inclusion.
