The Ursuline Fighting Irish are back in the state semifinals for the first time since 1994. That same year, they brought home the state title.

Ursuline defeated Canfield 60-35 to advance to Dayton. Jaylen Gunther hit four threes in the first half to help Ursuline create a sizeable lead, and then the Fighting Irish offense kept the foot on the gas. Jaden Payne continued to attack the paint for Ursuline, and Myles Miller along with several of his teammates continued knocking down threes.

Coach Keith Gunther's team now turns it's attention to the final four, where they will face Archbishop Alter with a chance to go to the state title game on the line, in hopes they can bring the title back to the Mahoning Valley.

Tipoff for the semifinals game is on Saturday, at 10:45am. The game will be played at UD Arena in Dayton.
