The Ursuline basketball team lost to Kettering Alter 73-37 in the Division II State Semi finals.

The Irish shot 28 percent from the game including 2 for 11 in the first quarter when they fell behind 20-4.

The closed the gap to 11 at halftime, 33-22 but were outscored in the third quarter 29-11.

Jaylen Gunther and Jayden Payne led the Irish with 11 points.

RJ Greer, who’s being recruited by several major universities led all scores with 24.

The 37 points is the lowest output all season for Ursuline.

The Irish were in the final four for the first time since 1994. The Knights are in the semifinals for an 11th time.
