A tip from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has landed a 62-year-old Sebring man in jail.

Scott Sargent was arrested at his home by Sebring Police for allegedly having a picture showing a nude child.  The picture of the girl, who police say appears to be seven or eight years old, is shown with a man’s hand on her bare leg.

The image was forwarded to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and enabled authorities to get a warrant to search Sargent’s home for computer accessories on Thursday.

Sargent faces three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor, and one count of possessing criminal tools.

A hearing is scheduled on April 18 in Mahoning County Court.

The Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is an alliance of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement authorities who arrest and prosecute internet child predators and child pornographers.
