A Boardman contractor has reinstated his guilty plea in Columbiana County after a judge had previously granted a motion to withdraw it.

Forty-one-year-old John Bartos previously filed a motion to withdraw his plea of guilty in Columbiana County on charges of theft stemming from not completing the work he was hired to do.

This motion was granted by judge Scott Washam back in March, but during a status conference on Friday, Bartos and his attorney chose to withdraw that motion reinstating his guilty plea.

Sentencing for Bartos is now scheduled for May 3 at 1:00 p.m. in Judge Washam's courtroom.

Bartos faced charges in numerous counties including Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County, in the Mahoning Valley as well as Lawrence County in the Shenango Valley.

Bartos had already faced sentencing in both Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, but all charges against him were dismissed in Lawrence County.
