Youngstown's fourth annual May Day Festival returns this weekend.

The May Day Festival is a free and family friendly celebration at the Calvin Center (755 Mahoning Avenue) that brings together groups to celebrate human rights and nature.

May Day is a celebration of organized labor and religious traditions that welcome spring.

Alice Lynd, a peace activist, labor lawyer and author will make an appearance Sunday to show highlights from the film Accompanying: Pathways to Social Change which showcases her efforts with her late husband, activist Staughton Lynd.

There will also be a short film on Youngstown's historical race riots, a memorial to fallen workers and a number of workshops.
