Suspect arrested ten years after shots fired at Austintown home
More than ten years after police investigated claims that a man fired shots at two people at an Austintown home, a suspect is now under arrest.
James Minerd, 72, was arrested Friday in Struthers on a warrant issued back in November 2013.
According to a police report, Minerd is accused of firing a gun at two people on the porch of a Four Mile Run home following a family argument. No one was hurt, but a bullet struck a window at the home.
Minerd was charged with two counts of felonious assault, firing shots into a habitation, and having a weapon under a disability
The warrant has remained active since the shooting.
Minerd, who according to court records lives in Friendly, West Virginia, is scheduled for video arraignment in county court Monday afternoon.
