A Warren man who pled guilty to numerous child pornography charges back in March has learned his fate in court on Tuesday.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 23-year-old Blake McCormick was handed an indefinite sentence of three to four-and-a-half years in prison on eight counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor and seven counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

He must also register as a tier 2 sex offender twice a year for the next 25 years.

The charges stem from an investigation from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which was turned over to police in April of 2023.

Originally, McCormick was indicted on 30 charges, but that number was cut in half to 15 as a result of a plea deal.

According to the prosecutor's office, Judge Andrew Logan said the sentence was appropriate despite McCormick's young age and lack of a previous record since he showed no real remorse for his actions.
