Canfield senior baseball player Michael Patellis went out in style in his final regular season home game.

Patellis, a four-year letter winner, played all nine positions when the Cardinals hosted Alliance Wednesday.

He says his teammates couldn't believe it.

"They thought I was nuts, they were like, there's no way in seven innings you're playing all nine positions," said Patellis.

He did just that, starting the game at third base, then to short, second, and moved around the diamond.

Patellis then moved to the outfield and after each pitch, he moved to a different field.

After that, he came into pitch and ended the game playing catcher and to his surprise his freshman brother, Logan Patellis, was on the mound.

"It's a day he'll never forget," said Gary Knittle, Canfield baseball coach.

"His brother getting to throw to him, that's all he really wanted so that's something they'll remember the rest of their lives."

The Cardinals came from behind to beat Alliance, 14-8.

Patellis had two hits and four RBI's in the win.

The senior will be attending Tiffin University in the fall.
