A Youngstown man who shot a man multiple times in Warren has learned his fate in court on Wednesday.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 41-year-old Danny Isom Jr. was handed an indefinite sentence of 11 to 15 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of felonious assault with a three-year firearm specification in court April 30.

The charge stems from the shooting of Eddie Pierce on the 1900 Black of Hazelwood Street in Warren back in August of 2023. Pierce was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

Additionally, Isom is facing a felonious assault charge in Cuyahoga County, which is connected to this incident according to the prosecutor's office.

During his sentencing, Judge Ronald Rice noted Isom's previous violent criminal history beginning in his teen years in Florida.

In a press release, Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Michael Burnett is quoted stating he is pleased with this verdict and sentence.

"There are entirely too many shootings here in Trumbull County. I am glad there are judges like Judge Rice who are willing to hand out sentences like the one given out today," Burnett said.
