A fourth serious charge has been added to three serious charges already filed an Austintown man accused of driving away after running over a woman in the township.

The Mahoning County Grand Jury on Thursday handed up a new indictment against 49-year-old James Stehura, adding a felony charge of aggravated vehicular homicide to the charges of reckless homicide, failure to stop after an accident, and tampering with evidence that he was indicted for earlier.

According to Austintown Police, 66-year-old Linda Adams and her wife were walking their dog along Lancaster Drive on March 11 when Adams was struck by a pickup truck that drove away without stopping.  Adams died later from her injuries.

A Ring doorbell camera at a nearby home captured video of a truck believed to have been involved in the crash. Police say Stehura's truck was the only one in the area matching the truck's description at that time.

The tampering with evidence charge stems from Stehura allegedly trying to conceal the damage his truck sustained from the crash.

Stehura will be arraigned Tuesday on the new indictment in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
