Fares of $499 offered for round-trip flights between Pittsburgh and Iceland

PITTSBURGH - If you enjoyed viewing the recent display of the Northern Lights in the Valley, how would you like to visit a land where you can see them more than 100 nights a year?
Icelandair is offering a special $499 round-trip fare to Reykjavik, Iceland to celebrate the launch of service from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Nonstop flights on Icelandair from PIT began on Thursday.
Operating on a 737-8 MAX, flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Passengers headed to Keflavik International Airport can connect to the European locations in Icelandair’s network.
“The Pittsburgh route is off to a good start, with passengers from 25 European destinations booked to Pittsburgh and travelers from Pittsburgh have booked flights to 30 destinations in Europe,” said Bogi Nils Bogason, President and CEO of Icelandair.
