More details revealed in disturbance during Chaney Commencement Ceremony

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Editor's Note: This story has been updated to clarify that no gun was physically seen during the incident.
We're now getting a clearer picture of a person with a gun causing a disturbance on Monday.
According to the police report, officers were called to the scene by sheriff's deputies who were working security at the auditorium and that a man who possibly had a gun was causing a disturbance and trying to flee.
A report from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office reveals that during the Chaney High School commencement ceremony, a woman approached a deputy if he could "make sure everything would be ok."
After this, deputies observed a male walking towards the rear entrance saying "why are you running" followed by a woman behind him saying "he's only going to the car to get a gun." That's when deputies called YPD for assistance.
Deputies say they followed the man outside where they saw that the male was pursuing the suspect and soon after the suspect noticed the male and the deputy, a black SUV came "barreling towards" the male barely missing him, rear ending another vehicle and driving off.
Police say the suspect's vehicle had fled the scene by the time they got there and one of the deputies tried to chase it on foot.
Deputies have clarified that at no point was a gun physically seen in anyone's possession.
One deputy told YPD officers that the suspect damaged the vehicle when he rear ended it, but the owner if the vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene.
Another person at the scene told police that the suspect and the owner of the damaged vehicle have an "extensive history" together.
Police were able to locate and search the suspect's vehicle and found a wallet that belonged to the suspect. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed yet.
