NEWTON FALLS, Ohio -
At Sam's Pizza in Newton Falls, Jason Yohe was a familiar face on evenings and weekends for around 25 years.
He not only made sure the pizzas were prepared just the way customers wanted them, but he went the extra mile for customers, family, and friends who called him the Grandmaster General.
"He is one of the warmest souls anybody's ever met. He was our manager. He loved to work the pizzas and loved to help us out, I learned so much from him," co-worker Jayden Glenn said.
A co-owner tells us Yohe never slowed down and gave everything 100 percent, before being admitted to the hospital Thursday.
He had been on life support and passed away Monday afternoon.
Yohe went to culinary school and worked in Pennsylvania before moving to Newton Falls to help take care of his mom.
The die-hard Pittsburgh fan was great with kids.
"He's like a part of the family here. This is my son, my brothers and I live in this area. My grandkids will be out there playing ball, and next thing I know he gets a little break, he's out with them," Rich Giuliano, Co-Owner of Sam's Pizza, emphasized.
Friends say he was selfless and giving.
He even saved a diabetic cat with one eye that he had to give medicine to each day.
Co-workers say everyone asked for him.
:"Everybody loved him. He was always asked to talk. He was always asked to be seen," Glenn added.
The co-owner of Sam's Pizza tells us Jason was an organ donor who is still helping others live their best lives.
"We'll never forget him," Giuliano said.
