YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Another inmate has been stabbed at the private prison in Youngstown.

According to the police report, the incident happened around 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 1.

Police say the 28-year-old inmate was taken to the emergency room with stab wounds to his forehead, left arm and left knee. The victim was listed in stable condition but may need surgery.

The report did not list any suspect information, just that the stabbing happened in a cell block.

There have been a number of stabbings at CoreCivic along Hubbard Road this year.

On March 14, one inmate stabbed another inmate several times. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Another incident occurred on May 9 when an inmate was stabbed in the shower. They were hospitalized but returned to the prison the next morning.

May 13 marked another stabbing, this time leaving the victim in critical condition.

An inmate was stabbed in the leg and hand with a sharpened piece of metal on May 16.

May 28 marked another incident where an inmate was stabbed multiple times.
