WARREN, Ohio - An Akron area man with a 28-year record of arrests in Warren is in the Trumbull County Jail after authorities say he stripped off his clothes after stealing from a hospital.

Sixty-four-year-old John Streeter of Mogadore, Ohio was arrested Monday after a security officer says he was caught at Trumbull Memorial Regional Medical Center after he had allegedly filled a backpack with snacks meant for hospital staff and first responders.

The officer said when Streeter was confronted outside the hospital, he took off his clothing.

The officer flagged down a Warren Police officer who said Streeter refused to get dressed.

Police say several people, including a five-year-old girl, saw the naked man who made lewd comments to them.

Once police got Streeter into a cruiser, they say they found more than $200 worth of snacks in his backpack.

The police report says Streeter also had a crack pipe when he was arrested.

Streeter pleaded “not guilty” to five charges including public indecency, petty theft, disorderly conduct, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Because of a parole violation, Streeter was denied bond and remained in the county jail awaiting another hearing in Warren Municipal Court next week.

According to online records, Streeter has been arrested fifty times since 1996.

Most of the charges he faced were misdemeanors.
