A brand of lights sold at a number of stores and online retailers are being recalled due to burn hazards.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall includes more than 1.2 million Good Earth Rechargeable Integrated Lights after some of the products overheated, causing a fire where one person died.
The recall involves rechargeable lights with the model numbers RE1122, RE1145, RE1362 and RE1250.
The lights were sold at Ace Hardware, Lowe's, Meijer and Menards, and online at Amazon.com, QVC.com and Lowes.com between October 2017 through January 2024 for around $20.
If you have the products, stop using them and contact Good Earth Lighting to get a replacement.
