The undefeated Neshannock High School softball team were honored by the Cafaro Foundation at the Eastwood Mall on Monday.

The Cafaro Foundation held a champions rally for the 26-0 state champs and presented the school with a $10,000 check for their major achievement.

The Lancers capped off their perfect season with a 12-2 victory over South Williamsport in the PIAA Class AA Championship game on June 14.

"We talk to the girls about just working as hard as they can and being humble, but also having that pride in yourself and also wanting other people to have that pride in you. ... It just shows that people are proud of these young ladies and all the work that they do," said head coach Jackie Lash.

The Lancers also brought home the championship title in 2022.
