A non-profit company specializing in reviving struggling health-care systems, is looking to take over Trumbull Regional Hospital.

Trumbull County Commissioner Denny Malloy says the company, whose name has not been revealed yet, will need some helping raising roughly $15 million to get them through the first three months to accommodate for Steward Health Care's bankruptcy issues.

The hurdle they face, though, is raising those funds. Malloy says the potential buyers are seeking help from local foundations.

"They are reaching out to some of the community foundations, in particular the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation," Malloy tells 21 News.

A health foundation with a mission of "leading improved public health and quality of life for all residents of Trumbull County, Ohio." According to Malloy, some Valley leaders have approached the foundation, but so far, they say there has been no movement.

Despite that, the commissioner is staying optimistic about the hospitals future.
