City of Niles begins work on $3.7 million street resurfacing projects

NILES, Ohio - 21 News previously told you about local street resurfacing projects for the City of Niles that was set to take place this summer.
According to a Facebook post from Steve Mientkiewicz, the Mayor of Niles, work for the resurfacing projects are set to begin today, Thursday, July 25, throughout the city.
Back on May 1, it was announced in a press release that the City of Niles was slated for over $3 million for local street resurfacing projects throughout the spring and summer months. This is part of a continued effort by the city to upgrade its aging infrastructure.
The money for the projects will come from local, state and federal funds with $1,600,000 coming from local funds and another $2,100,000 coming from state and federal grant funds.
In the post announcing the beginning of the project, Mientkiewicz asks residents to be cautious while driving in construction zones and be patient with traffic delays & detours.

- Blossom (Cassandra to Trumbull)
- Lincoln Way (Difford to End)
- Orchard (Hughes to Harris)
- Butterflied Circle (Lantern Lane to End)
- Hogarth (Robbins Avenue to North Rhodes)
- Hughes (North Crandon to Cedar)
- Sunny Estates (Meadowlark to Cul-De-Sac)
- Merlo Court (Sunny Estates to Cul-De-Sac)
- Pepperwood (Banyan to Cul-De-Sac)
