Family of Howland college student diagnosed with rare cancer raising funds for medical expenses

Back in December, 21 News reported on a college student from Howland who was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Now his family is raising funds to pay for his medical expenses.
A GoFundMe has been opened for Max Moriarty, who was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumors during his junior year at Kent State University.
Moriarty has been going to weekly appointments and getting radiation ever since, and told us in December that he hopes to get a surgery to remove the tumors in early 2025.
Since our last report, scans revealed Moriarty's tumors have shrunk by 80% according to the GoFundMe. The next step is a surgery set to be performed at a New York hospital in March. According to the GoFundMe, this will be the first of multiple surgeries.
Moriarty's family is currently accepting donations to pay for these medical expenses with a current goal of $30,000. So far, a total of $26,653 has been raised. You can donate by clicking here.
