Hartline will take over for Chip Kelly who departed for the the Las Vegas Raiders.

He was previously the Buckeyes' offensive coordinator in 2023 before being moved to co-offensive coordinator last season.

During Hartline's stint as OC in 2023, head coach Ryan Day handled play-calling duties. It's unclear who will call plays next season.

The 38-year old Hartline has coached the receivers at Ohio State since 2018. He's recruited and coached some of the top receivers in college football such as Marvin Harrison Jr. and Garrett Wilson.
