A Farrell man will be spending several years behind bars after being convicted of armed cocaine trafficking.

According to a press release, 39-year-old Tylon Cousin was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Cousin will serve six years of supervised release following his prison term.

According to the release, Cousin engaged in armed cocaine dealing from his home in Farrell in January and February of 2023. He had previously been convicted of similar cocaine charges back in 2012 for crimes that occurred between 2009 and 2011.

The Mercer County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, FBI and ATF all assisted in the investigation.
