Jersey Mike's marks 15th annual "Month of Giving"

YOUNGSTOWN - Three charities throughout the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys are partnering with four Jersey Mike's Subs locations in the area for their 15th annual March "Month of Giving" campaign to assist in local charities.
Customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or additionally donate $1, $3 or $5 when placing their order.
Jersey Mike's "Month of Giving" wraps up with the "Day of Giving" on Wednesday, March 26, when local restaurants will donate 100 percent of the days sales and not just profits to:
- The Brightside Project (Cortland and Salem locations)
- Children's Center for Mercer County (Hermitage location)
- Project MKC (Boardman location)
On "Day of Giving," local Jersey Mike's owners and operators nationwide will donate their resources and every dollar that comes in from either in-store, online or through the app purchases that will go to 200 different charities including hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more.
According to a press release, "Day of Giving" is the busiest day of the year for Jersey Mike's with some crews arriving as early as 4 a.m.
This March, Jersey Mike's hopes to exceed last year's goal with a total of $25 million to fulfill their mission of helping local charities and make a difference.
Jersey Mike's founder and CEO Peter Cancro says, "I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to visit Jersey Mike's Subs throughout the month of March, and especially on Day of Giving when 100 percent of sales goes to help a great local cause."
Since the campaign started in 2011, Jersey Mike's has raised more than $113 million for local charities.
