Austintown teacher nominated for 'Mahoning Valley Educator of the Year'

EDITOR'S NOTE: Austintown Local Schools has sent us a corrected news release clarifying that Carli Cramer is a nominee for Mahoning Valley Teacher of the Year, but has not been awarded that title.

Austintown's Elementary School teacher Carli Cramer has been nominated for Mahoning Valley Educator of the Year. A recognition for her dedication, passion and commitment to student success.

The Mahoning Valley Educator of the Year Honor is for dedicated educators who prioritize student success without seeking recognition, celebrating those who make a difference behind the scenes.

Austintown Elementary School Principal Cathy Dorbish states, "Carli Cramer is an amazing teacher who works hard every day so her students and families can succeed."

She continues, "Her positive attitude, drive to improve our school and willingness to help all her colleagues are just a few of the reasons she earned this special recognition. She simply makes AES a better place to be!"

Cramer will be honored on March 18 at the Eastwood Event Center along with other distinguished nominees.

There will be four other award categories including Golden Educator for those who have been teaching for 20 years or more, Young Educator for those who have been teaching for 10 years or less, Secondary Educator of the Year and Early Educator of the Year.
