Nonprofit launched in Mercer County to support first responders, military personnel in time of crisis

GREENVILLE, Pa. - A non-profit has launched in Mercer County to support first responders and military personnel, as well as their families in times of crisis.
Operation Heroes Corporation is based out of Greenville and is dedicated to supporting military personnel, first responders, medical professionals, federal law enforcement, corrections officers and dispatchers.
The organization also prioritizes the protection and well-being of children by providing critical aid in times of disaster, trauma and urgent need.
Programs offered through the organization include financial and logistical support to frontline personnel and their families during unforeseen hardships, supporting families of fallen or injured frontline personnel ensuring they receive the care they need and partnering with communities to safeguard and uplift children through educational opportunities, safety initiatives and mentorship programs.
Additionally, the organization hopes to offer resources, counseling and peer support programs to help frontline personnel navigate through service-related trauma.
"Whether it's assisting a firefighter who lost their home to disaster, providing aid to an injured law enforcement officer or ensuring children in crisis have access to the resources they need, we are here to make a lasting impact," said Operation Heroes Corporation founder, CEO and President Andrew Sherman.
The organization is currently looking for volunteers. Those interested in getting involved can learn more about doing so by clicking here.
