According to a news release, a nursing school rooted in Salem since 1957 will be relocating to the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) in Canfield beginning in the fall of 2025.

The Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing (HEMSPN) has been operating in Salem since 1957 according to the news release.

In a move that the release says will honor HEMSPN's legacy while embracing the future, it will be relocating to MCCTC beginning in the fall of 2025.

The aim of the relocation is to expand HEMSPN's reach to neighboring counties while continuing to serve as a hub of opportunity for aspiring healthcare professionals according to the release.

The new location at MCCTC will provide students of HEMSPN will modern classrooms and a career-focused atmosphere.

"Our relocation to MCCTC is a meaningful evolution in the story of Hannah E. Mullins," said Christina Devlin, Practical Nursing Director.

She continued," We are preserving the values and heritage that define us, while stepping forward into a space that will allow our students to thrive. This move truly brings together two legacies with one vision for the future of nursing education."

According to the release, applications for the Fall 2025 program are open, and enrollment is encouraged.
