Former Leetonia bus driver charged with voyeurism

A former Leetonia bus driver who was fired over allegations of misconduct involving juvenile students is now facing a misdemeanor charge of voyeurism.
A warrant was issued Thursday for Scott Andre in Columbiana municipal court.
21 News is working to find out the details of what led to this specific charge. Andre had previously been fired from his role as a bus driver and coach with the Leetonia school district after an internal investigation found that Andre allegedly pursued recent graduates with "inappropriate intentions," struck students on the hand with a ruler, entered a locker room where a junior high student was changing and was accused to have inappropriate images of staff and students on his personal cell phone.
The letter informing Andre of his termination also accused Andre of discussing having an "open relationship" with his wife and that he's available to have girlfriends "on the side," engaging in "pursuing/stalking" behavior with a current student by showing up at her job, taking a student in his personal vehicle off of school grounds for ice cream.
Leetonia police chief Allen Haueter told 21 News in February that the investigation into Andre's alleged conduct would be turned over to the prosecutor's office to determine potential charges.
On Thursday, Haueter confirmed the voyeurism charge would be the only one filed and that it is related to the allegation of having inappropriate pictures of sixth grade Leetonia students and staff members on his phone.
A police report dated January 30, stated that a school resource officer in the Leetonia schools was notified by the director of building and grounds for the district over allegations involving a district bus driver and softball coach, Scott Andre.
The report states that several students were interviewed by the police, and states that multiple incidents were reported as a concern, including:
Andre allegedly entered a locker room where a young female was changing. The report says another coach had informed Andre not to enter, but he was later found in the locker room. When asked why he was in there, the report states Andre replied, "I don't know, I 'm looking for something." The student corroborated the statement to police, according to the report. The student told police that she was pulling her shirt over her head, and she said it made her uncomfortable. The student also told police that Andre offered her rides to practice or to a game if needed after the bus route was complete. The student said it made her uneasy and that she did not want to be alone with Andre.
An older allegation was also brought up to the police that alleges that when Andre's daughter had sleepovers with teenage girls, he would allegedly walk through the room nude.
The report stated, "There appears to be a pattern of behavior from Scott Andre that shows sexual deviancy, predatory issues, and a "grooming" path that he takes with girls in their teens heading towards adulthood..."
Andre is not currently in custody at the time this story was published.
