LISBON, Ohio - A FirstEnergy representative says a fallen power line cut electricity to ten percent of its customers in Columbiana County.
As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, the utility reported 3,203 customers had no electricity.
FirstEnergy said power was back on after 9 a.m.
Impacted communities and initial number of outages:
- Center Township 779
- Columbiana 8
- Elk Run Township 105
- Fairfield Township 140
- Leetonia 904
- Lisbon 970
- Salem 6
- Salem Township 290
Because of the outages, both Lisbon and Leetonia schools were on a two-hour delay. Classes were eventually cancelled on Tuesday because power wasn't restored in time.
