Howland senior Ryan Zolnier officially committed to continue his academic and athletic journey at The City University of New York (CUNY), where he will compete in wheelchair basketball. This milestone marks not only a remarkable personal achievement but also a powerful testament to Ryan’s unyielding perseverance, grit, and positivity.

Ryan has been a standout participant in seated track and field for the Tigers, representing the spirit of resilience in every practice and competition. "Ryan is signing with CUNY College to play wheelchair basketball, marking a major milestone in his athletic and personal journey,” said Head Track & Field Coach Logan Sheptock. “Throughout his high school career, he has demonstrated tremendous growth, overcoming significant adversity to build something truly special in his life. Driven by passion and perseverance, Ryan is now pursuing what he loves most. His strong work ethic and deep commitment to self-improvement set him apart, and there is no doubt he will continue to succeed at the next level.”
