YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A downtown Youngstown bar and taco restaurant has made the decision to close its doors.

According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, Gringo's has made the decision to close. The post states that this decision did not come lightly.

"We have lived through many challenges and always had the positive 'it will get better mentality,' but you can only keep saying that for so long," the post reads.

Gringo's opened its doors downtown back in September of 2020 during the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic. The post did not say if challenges related to COVID-19 were a factor in closing.

It is unclear whether or not the closure is effective immediately.
