The South Range softball team captured its sixth straight district title Wednesday evening.

The Lady Raiders defeated Wooster Triway 12-5 in the Division V District Final at Dalton.

South Range scored four runs in the first inning to take an early 4-0 lead. They followed up with a three-run second inning.

The Raiders tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning and two in the sixth.

Jayli Wilt and Sophia Brogan both hit homeruns and accounted for 3 RBI's a piece. Heidi Bartels added 3 RBI's.

Ashley Rupert pitched seven innings and gave up five runs, nine hits and struck out four.

The Raiders will play the winner of Champion/Poland in the Div. V Regional Semifinal.
