WARREN, Ohio - The Valley is preparing for the display of "The Wall That Heals," a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, in Warren from Tuesday, May 27, through Sunday, June 1, 2025.

The mobile memorial and accompanying Education Center will be located on the south lawn of Packard Music Hall, accessible to the public 24 hours a day at no charge. The exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and displays the names of the 58,281 service members who died in the conflict.

According to a media release, a motorcycle escort will kick off the event on Tuesday, May 27. Lineup is scheduled for 1 p.m. at The Lube in Austintown, with departure at 2 p.m. and arrival in Warren at 3 p.m. Setup begins at 9 a.m. on May 28, with a volunteer orientation at 4 p.m.

The opening ceremony is set for 6 p.m. on May 29. Other planned events include a "Kids Day" on May 30 from 1-3 p.m. and a "Medal of Honor: A Tribute to the Fallen" event on May 31 at 2 p.m. The exhibit will close at noon on June 1. Veterans' resources will be available daily in the Shelter House starting at 9 a.m.

"Hosting The Wall That Heals provides an opportunity to honor and remember all those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War and educate visitors on the continuing impact of the Vietnam War on America," said Jim Knotts, president and CEO of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, in the release.

The 375-foot-long replica stands 7.5 feet tall at its highest point. The mobile Education Center displays photos of local "Hometown Heroes" and Vietnam veterans honored through VVMF's "In Memory" program, videos about the history of the Wall, educational exhibits, and a replica of the In Memory plaque.

Local sponsors for the event include The Warren Heritage Center, the DeBartolo York Foundation, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 606.

"The Wall That Heals" debuted in 1996 and has visited nearly 800 communities. It is the only traveling exhibit affiliated with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
