Veteran banners delayed in Warren due to material shortage

WARREN, Ohio - Veteran banners that were supposed to be displayed in Warren by Memorial Day have been delayed due to inclement weather and a delayed shipment of bracket hardware for them.
Warren Councilman at Large Michael O'Brien tells 21 News four banners have been put up on display in Courthouse Square in downtown Warren, but the rest will not be displayed until later due to a material shortage.
O'Brien says the delay in question has to do with a shortage in the brackets for the banners, as well as a shortage of manufacturers.
There is no time frame for when the banners will go up, but O'Brien expects the materials to arrive very soon.
Once the banners are displayed, they will remain on display for a two-year cycle until Veterans Day 2026, according to the Trumbull County Historical Society.
