$1.9M paving project in Mercer County set to begin June 9

HERMITAGE, Pa. - According to a news release, a paving project will begin in the city of Hermitage in Mercer County on June 9.
The $1.9 million project includes improvements to 0.58 miles of roadway from the intersection with Route 18 to the intersection with North Keel Road (Route 3011).
The project includes:
- Milling and paving
- Traffic signal updates
- Roadway widening to add 4-foot shoulders
- Curve improvements west of the Carol S. Gurrera Village driveway
Weather permitting, the release states that the constructing is expected to be completed by November 2025.
A detour is required to account for this construction, and will remain for four months. The detour will be posted using North Keel Ridge Road, Route 62 and Route 18.
The contract for the project costs $1,932,627, which will be paid with 100 percent state funds. The contractor is Kirilia Contractors, Inc. of Brookfield, Ohio.
