Pennsylvania license and photo centers to close for Juneteenth holiday

Pennsylvania - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has issued a reminder to all Pennsylvania drivers that all driver license and photo centers in the Commonwealth will be closed on Thursday, June 19 for Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is a holiday officially recognized by Pennsylvania marking the end of the Civil War and slave emancipation in the form of union soldiers reaching Galveston Texas, the furthest point in the South, with news of their victory.
Customers can still access a large selection license and photo services through the PennDot Driver and Vehicle Services website.
These website services are available 24/7 and include:
- license, registration, and photo ID renewals
- driver history services
- change of address
- license and registration restoration letters
- license and vehicle insurance restoration payments
- license and photo ID duplicates
- REAL ID pre-verification
- driver exam scheduling
There is no additional fee for online services and a complete list of driver and photo license centers closures available online.
