Bond set at $300,000 for man facing child sex charges

MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio - According to court documents, bond has been set in the case of a man accused of rape and compelling prostitution in a case involving a child.
Bond was set for Terrance Jefferies, 64, during a June 16 hearing, according to court documents.
Attorney Mike Yacavone submitted a motion to the court on May 30, 2025 to establish bail, hoping for a bond of $25,000. However, court records show that Jefferies' bond was set at $300,000.
Jefferies is accused of allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a 12-year-old.
The indictment says that the alleged incident happened between April 1 and June 13, 2024.
Jefferies is set to appear in court next on July 9 at 11 a.m. for a pre-trial hearing, and then again on July 28 at 8:30 a.m. for a jury trial.
Mildred Woods, 48, was indicted in the same case as Jefferies. Woods is accused of allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a 12-year-old also.
Woods was indicted on one charge of rape (F1) and trafficking in persons (F1).
In addition, Woods is indicted on one charge of compelling prosititution (F1) and one charge of compelling prosititution (F3).
Woods is set to appear in court again on June 24 at 10:30 a.m. for a status hearing.
