COCHRANTON, Pa. - The new owner of a manufacturing facility just north of Mercer County says it will keep the current workforce and expand operations.

Drafto Corporation, a manufacturer of heavy-duty overhead crane lifting and weighing systems, has been acquired by Celich Enterprises, which says in a news release that the acquisition of the 80-year-old company is expected to usher in a period of growth while maintaining existing operations and employment in Cochranton, Crawford County.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Stanley R. Celich, founder of Celich Enterprises, LLC, will become Drafto's chairman and CEO.

"Drafto’s greatest asset walks through the door every day," Celich said in a statement. "We’re here to grow the company intelligently and responsibly, while preserving the people and practices that have made it great."

Celich's says its plans for Drafto include expanding into new geographies, markets, and products, while upholding the company's reputation for service, reliability, durability, and custom solutions. The company confirmed it will continue its operations in Cochranton, a move that secures existing jobs in the community.

Former CEO Bruce Wesley will remain with the company as president and chief operating officer. The current leadership team will also continue in their respective roles.
