WARREN Bond has been set for a woman charged in connection with a raid at a foot spa in Hubbard exactly one week after she failed to show up for her arraignment hearing.

Bond for Furong Li was set at $10,000. She will remain in police custody until she surrenders her passport and her bond is posted. She is due back in court for a pretrial hearing August 5.

Li is charged with felony counts of promoting prostitution and practicing medicine without a license, as well as a misdemeanor count of soliciting.

Li was arrested in February following a raid at 3C Foot Spa in Hubbard, which was housed in a building owned by Trumbull County Commissioner Rick Hernandez.

Hernandez had gone on record with 21 News in the past claiming he was unaware of any illegal activity going on in the building, and that those allegations were "politically motivated."

Hernandez also said on a Facebook live stream that if he did learn of any illegal activity in the building, he would evict the tenant immediately.

However, body camera video from an interview conducted prior to these comments being made shows officers with the Hubbard Police Department informing Hernandez of alleged prostitution happening on the property.

We've also recently learned that Hernandez was the subject of a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force investigation, with agents seizing his cell phone as part of a search warrant.

We do not know if that search warrant is connected to 3C Foot Spa at this time.
