*Editor's Note: It was originally reported that Liemkuehler was sentenced to 45 days in jail and two years of community control. 21 News has since learned that Liemkuehler will be resentenced on Wednesday, March 18, at 1 p.m. due to an issue that arose during Monday's sentencing.

WARREN - A Warren man who pleaded guilty to an animal cruelty charge in January will learn his fate on Wednesday.

Leimkuehler plead to a misemeanor indictment and was originally set for sentencing on Monday, but will need to be resentenced due to an error in the sentencing entry.

Leimkuehler was charged after a dog was found in a distressed condition in the basement of a home on Oak Hill Avenue in Warren back in May of 2025.

Healthy Hearts & Paws Project President & CEO Jason Cooke told 21 News the dog was emaciated, dehydrated and suffering from a ruptured abdominal mass. The dog had to be euthanized due to the severity of its condition.

Leimkuehler is due back in court for resentencing on Wednesday, March 18, at 1 p.m.
