Stambaugh Charter Academy Opens Today

A new charter school, Stambaugh Charter Academy, opens doors to students today after finishing the renovation of the former Stambaugh School building on Donald Avenue.
The 4.5 million dollar renovation of the 90-year-old school building includes new electrical work and plumbing along with a new gymnasium.
Charles Fazekas, principal of Stambaugh Charter Academy says,"We are anxious to open our doors and to begin offering area families an additional educational option based on the pillars of a rigorous curriculum combined with a strong moral focus program, a commitment to parental partnerships and individual student staff responsibility."
Stambaugh opens to grades kindergarten through 5 this year and will add one grade per year up through the eighth grade. As a public charter school, Stambaugh Charter Academy is open to all students.
