New Sewer System In Weathersfield
Some Trumbull County residents will soon have a new sewer system to hook into.
State, county, and township officials broke ground today on the McKinley Heights Phase 2 Sanitary Sewer Project in Weathersfield Township.
Back in 2002, the E-P-A ordered the county to install sewers in the area because of serious problems with existing septic tanks.
Weatherfield Township trustees say no resident will pay the full cost of the hookup thanks to both state and federal grants.
John Vogel, Weathersfield Township Trustee says, "A lot of different funding sources have come to the table on this one. And it should how we're always talking about the regionalization well golly it really worked this time."
The sewer project is expected to be completed by September first.
